New Release Announcement: "Wild Goose Chase" is Almost Here!

I've finally gone and done it. I've written the forbidden romance you had no idea you needed (but, trust me, you do). This story just would not get out of my head. My retired firefighter-turned-peach-farmer who started a famous supper club? He can't seem to fall out of love with the one woman he can't have. If you read Forrest for the Trees, you may remember him. His name is Chase.

Enter "Wild Goose Chase". I know, I know. Me again with the punny names. This one is still a rom-com, but it will give you all the feels.

Violet is a single mom who is struggling after the insurance company tries to cheat her out of her late husband's benefits. Chase helps her get on her feet while letting her keep her pride. He is there for her every single day. He cooks for her, fixes things around the house, watches her kids all day every Saturday while she goes to school to get her degree, takes her daughter to the daddy-daughter dance (one of my favorite scenes 🥺).

But, people...he is soooooo in love with her. We're talking Princess Bride vibes here. Every single breath Chase breathes, he breathes for Violet. This is still a rom-com (Chase may or may not have some, erm, uncommon reactions when Violet announces she's going to start dating again, and starts to date a guy named "Rod"). But, overall, it will make you cry tears that restore your faith in humans.

🧡🧡 The Official Blurb 🧡🧡

Chase Greenleaf made a promise: that he'd always take care of his best friend's widow. And he's kept it in the years since Todd's death. He quit his job as a firefighter, gave Violet a plum job on his peach farm; and plays super-dad to her two kids.
Nevermind the small matter of being in love with her. Coveting Violet is a shame he'll take to his grave. So he'll be her shoulder to cry on; her cool, quirky boss; her always-there-but-totally platonic friend.
But when Violet tenders her resignation for reasons she won't explain and new revelations come out about the fire that killed Todd, Chase's world is upended. Joining the investigation may help Violet win her battle against Todd’s insurance company but it will trigger Chase’s PTSD.
He’ll stop at nothing to find justice for Todd, but can he stop the woman he loves from leaving? And will he risk everything to tell her the real reason why he can’t let her go?

Note: this can be read as a standalone. Green Valley Chronicles, Penny Reid Book Universe.

Here’s Where to Get It

I Have a VERY Good Reason Why You Should Pre-Order This Now...

If you've followed the releases of my earlier books in the Green Valley Heroes series, you know they only remained available in ebook across all major stores for 24-48 hours. That means if you read wide (e.g., on Apple Books, Nook, Kobo, Google Play) that now is the time to pre-order your copy so you don't miss what could be a very small window of opportunity. Ebook and paperback pre-orders are available on Amazon, too!
